Municipal Financial Advisory

Head of Transportation Advisory Practice

Dave Egeberg

Dave has a broad and deep banking background pertaining to developing new loans and leases with new customers, credit analysis, structuring and pricing financings, writing offering memorandums, documenting financings, managing and supervising loan officers as well as credit analysts and assistants. These skills will allow him to lead Rockfleet in providing NYPA all of the services NYPA desires for its EEP and will benefit NYPA whether NYPA chooses to do all or some of these functions internally or chooses to outsource all or some of them.

When in the Home Office Commercial Loan Department of the Valley National Bank of Arizona ("VNB") (which had 8,000 employees and became part of Bank One and later part of Chase), the commercial loan portfolio Dave handled included all of the large true commercial leases made by the Bank.

As the Manager of the Credit Analysis Section of VNB's Credit Department, Dave had twelve analysts working for him and they continuously analyzed the loans, financial statements, and tax returns of all the business borrowers (commercial loans, agribusiness loans, commercial real estate loans, and national accounts loans) of VNB and wrote reports for the loan officers and Chief Credit Officer of VNB.

When VNB decided to open a Commercial, Agribusiness, and Commercial Real Estate Loan Center in Yuma, AZ it looked to see who of its 8,000 employees had the experience to open and manage the Loan Center and move the existing large loans from the branches to the Loan Center, and selected Dave. As the Manager of the Loan Center, Dave worked closely with his six loan officers and their customers as well as his own customers, which included commercial developers, farmers, citrus growers, large vegetable companies, and citrus packing houses. Since Yuma receives only 2+ inches of rain each year and the cost of growing and harvesting the various items is extremely high per acre, Dave learned firsthand the importance and value of clean water and farm ground and the lengths taken to protect the quality of the water and soil from pollution and contamination. He also learned about power efficiency as all of the fields and groves are either flood irrigated or sprinkler irrigated using diesel powered generators.

Examples of new borrowing customers Dave brought to VNB were the local hospital, the local airport, and the local Caterpillar Dealer/John Deere Dealer. Dave was their loan officer, holding discussions with their senior management and board of directors, analyzing their needs and financial statements, structuring and pricing their financings (both taxable and tax-exempt) in a manner that was attractive to each borrower and acceptable to VNB, writing the offering memorandum for approval by VNB's senior management and board of directors, and documenting the financings.

He is registered with FINRA with his Series 50, and with the SEC and MSRB as a municipal advisor.
